WELCOMING NIGHT (Wednesday) – open from 18h00
Dress code: Table shirt

The venue for the Welcome Party is The Green Point Cricket Club, located next to the world-famous Green Point Stadium.
During the Welcoming Night, live music with an outdoor festival setting will be played. You will experience a South African spit braai and party with everyone world- wide. The official opening is at 20h00, and we suggest you are at the venue as this will be something you do not want to miss.
Please remember to bring your WM money from the goodie bag and your entrance ticket for the event.
Busses will depart the Hotel Sky from 17h00 to 18h30 and return between 22h00 and 23h30.
NATIONS NIGHT (Thursday) – open from 18h00
Dress code: Represent your nation in the way you wish.

The venue for the Nations Night is The Castle of Good Hope. This is a 17th-century military fort built by the Dutch and is the oldest building in South Africa.
We have arranged plenty of different food from the different corners of our country. As with a typical Nations Night, there will be snacks and food brought by the international associations, with plenty of drinks. There also will be a bar where you can buy some alcoholic beverages, should you wish.
All participants to the Nations Night will be issued a passport on arrival to document their progress through the evening.

CLUBHOUSE PARTIES (Friday) – open from 18h00
Dress code: Table shirt or any sport shirt
The venue for the Clubhouse Parties is seven different Round Table Clubhouses around Cape Town. This is a fantastic evening to discover how we Table in South Africa. Bring a banner along, as you will see how we decorate our clubhouses with them.
We have arranged a traditional braai, along with local snacks and drinks. The Rugby World Cup starts this evening, and the game will be on. For the non-rugby supporters, we guarantee that enough is going on at a Table Clubhouse for you to have a great time.
We have allocated you in random groups for this evening, and the Clubhouse you will be at for the evening is in your goodie bag. We will also have lists of who is assigned to go where at the registration desk. We want you to meet new friends and have a great evening by going a little outside your normal friend zone, so we ask you to please go to the allocated Clubhouse. Our local Tablers eagerly await to show you how ‘lekker’ we can make an evening.

PRESIDENT COCKTAIL & GALA DINNER (Saturday) – opening drinks served from 18h00

Presidential Cocktail
The Presidential Cocktail will be held before the gala dinner at 17h00. Attendance is per invitation only; these invitations are included in your goodie bags.
Gala Dinner
The venue to end the World meeting will be Cape Town International Convention Centre. The centre is located across the road from Hotel Sky. We will be in the Grand Ballroom.
Opening drinks with live music will be served from 18h00, with the formal program starting at 18h30. There will be assigned seating for certain guests, with the remaining being free seating.
We will serve a 6-course meal that coincides with the formal evening program. We expect the dinner and schedule to be done by 22h00, after which a DJ will entertain us on the dance floor.
A good quantity of drinks will be provided at the gala dinner, but additional drinks will be for your own account.
AFTER-HOUR CLUBBING
Cape Town has some great clubs and entertainment venues. These are relatively close to the hotel and can be visited by yourselves.
BUT – We have arranged a DJ and rented out the 27th floor of Hotel Sky as a World Meeting Club that will be open till 04h00 every morning. Enjoy the best views in the city whilst partying the night away, safe in the knowledge that your room is a mere elevator ride away.
